Man Halts His Prostate Cancer with Chili Sauce: In this remarkable case study (which was published in a peer-reviewed medical journal), a prostate cancer patient successfully halted his cancer for three years simply by taking habaneros chili sauce. The 66 year old cancer patient had been taking chemotherapy drugs, but exercised his right to stop when side effects became unbearable. Then by taking just 2 mL daily (about half a teaspoon) he was actually able to decrease his PSA levels by 15% (PSA is a marker for prostate cancer). Eventually his PSA rose again to the same level as before he started the chili sauce (despite increasing the dose to 15 mL daily), but he had managed to put his cancer “on hold” for three years with this single, quite incredible, natural food. It’s important to remember that this amazing success was observed on just one patient (so far), but research has already shown chili extract (capsaicin) to be active against glioma, breast cancer, liver cancer, throat cancer and leukemia. This could make chilis a great way to further reduce cancer risk, in addition to eating a healthy, balanced diet rich in fruit, vegetables and whole foods, and getting physical exercise regularly. For those wanting to try chili, note that latest research has shown that green tea appears to boost chili’s anticancer activity as much as 100-fold.
